Will I own my own home?
Each home is sold on a freehold basis so you will not pay DMF (Deferred Management Fees) or large exit fees if or when you sell your home. Proceeds from the sale of your home go directly to you!

Will I have my own private garden and parking space?
Each home has its own manageable private courtyard garden which is low maintenance and your own off-street parking space or optional carport.

How safe are the communities?
The communities are made secure by a controlled electronic gated entry system which means you can ‘lock up and leave’ your home with confidence or simply stay all year round with the added reassurance of knowing only welcome visitors can gain entry.

Are the homes energy efficient?
Each home is designed to be low maintenance and energy efficient taking advantage of natural lighting and including high-efficiency lighting systems with advanced lighting controls and motion sensors tied to dimmable lighting controls. Other energy efficient features include a properly sized heat/cooling system in conjunction with a thermally efficient and highly insulated home to reduce heating/cooling bills, rain water tanks and low maintenance gardens that include plants that generate minimal plant trimmings to save water and time.

What if my needs change, or I lose some mobility?
Each home is suitable for wheelchair use and is highly adaptable and designed to keep you in your own home as long as possible including features like an eye-level oven in the kitchen, easy lever taps and grab rails in the bathrooms, etc to make life easier.

The homes are quite reasonably priced, what is the quality like?
All Allura homes are built to a high quality of standard, the homes have a luxurious feel both externally and internally giving you value for money.

Can I have pets within an Allura Community?
Unlike some other retirement developments there are no restrictions on pets.

What about service charges?
There are no mandatory service charges and you can choose to maintain your own home at a cost that’s comfortable to you and your budget. You won’t pay for services you won’t use because those will be decided independently by you. You will incur some body corporate fees for the community you are a part of. Body Corporate fees will cover maintanance of the community grounds and facilities.

What about entertaining family and friends?
Allura homes are large enough to entertain, however for larger groups each Allura development have a centrally located communal facility as a focal point giving residents the opportunity to meet or entertain family with sinks, barbeque facilities, gas heaters, etc within a gazebo/community room with a surrounding paved area.

What about something for the grand kids?
All Allura communities have a childrens play ground and play area in the common grounds.

I am under 55, can I buy an Allura home?
Persons under the age of 55 can buy an Allura home, however nobody under the age of 55 can live within an Allura community.

An Allura Home as an investment opportunity?
Persons choosing to invest in an Allura home within an Allura community can do so; Allura Property Management can facilitate the rental on the home to a resident over 55.
